
Operational scope, training outline, and documentation standards
1) Mission & Scope
- Provide BLS care within LVFR jurisdiction.
- Operate under San Andreas EMS protocols and confidentiality rules.
- Maintain readiness, professionalism, and accurate documentation.
- Acknowledge dispatch within 60 seconds. Use Code 1–3 per nature.
- Confirm unit, crew size, capabilities, and ETA on radio.
- Wear PPE. Use BSI. Stage if scene is unsafe.
- Primary assessment: Airway, Breathing, Circulation, disability, exposure.
- Interventions in EMT scope: O2, bleeding control, splinting, bandaging, CPR/AED, naloxone (per protocol), epinephrine auto-injector assist, MDI assist.
- Reassess vitals every 5–10 min as condition dictates.
- Safe lifting, packaging, loading. Secure patient and equipment.
- En-route monitoring and updates to receiving facility if required.
- Verbal and written handoff on arrival; confirm acceptance.
- Complete ePCR / forum PCR: date/time, location, chief complaint (OPQRST), SAMPLE, vitals, interventions, response.
- Attach device times (AED shocks, meds) and signatures if applicable.
- File incident number in station log and training tracker if used for skills credit.
