Project: Las Venturas

Earl Simmons was born in Old Venturas Strip in Las Venturas. He grew up with his mother in difficult circumstances, and their lives were unstable from the start. He never knew family stability, and his childhood was full of moving around and problems.

During his early years, Earl was subjected to physical abuse by his mother and was diagnosed with asthma at a young age. He spent a period of his life in old housing units within Las Venturas after his mother sent him to live with relatives, but things did not improve much.

At a young age, he was expelled from school due to his behavior and repeated problems and was sent to a foster home for a time. When he later returned to the streets of Las Venturas, he slept in abandoned places and empty warehouses and became accustomed to befriending stray dogs, in which he found a sense of security.

Due to his academic failure, he couldn’t continue with any school activities. Over time, he found himself broke, stealing only to eat or get clothes, and sometimes to secure his basic needs. Later, he drifted into car theft, which was his first real step into the street world that he would not easily leave.
